When I moved to Britain in 2006, I remember going to the nursery to walk down the street and saw a sign that boasted proudly ... heuristic play. I thought ... wow, what is this new ideology of raising children? Then I discovered there was nothing further to say that a fancy, elegant way to ... let them do a mess. Gees ... I've never done more than twenty years and knew it.
In fact, according to the Oxford Dictionary, "heuristic" means helping to discover discover, or; process of trialand errors. My two year old daughter's newest toy ... nice drawer organizers from Ikea. Insists every train last member of her clothes out of them.
