Child's Play - The Teddy Bears Picnic - Ideas for Creative Play

Creative play an important part of child development. It 'important that children participate in role plays or fiction activities. This develops abstract thinking, negotiation skills, communication skills and a variety of skills your child will need in later years. There is also a way to solve for children and the practice of social situations so that they are comfortable, but not "real" challenges.

A favorite activity that I used for creative playdo if my children were small was the Teddy Bear Picnic. What child does not love a picnic? They see this as a treat, their meal in a different environment than usual. I used a blanket spread in the middle of the living room floor. This was something special because they had food in my house still on the table.

One day a week, I guarantee that I would finger food for lunch, which fits the theme picnic. I had a picnic basket for thisActivities, but that is not really necessary if you are at a picnic at home. This is how I used to do:

Let us help your children in meal planning picnics. Little sandwiches or cut into shape is generally very successful for picnic Day Cut into bite size pieces of fruit and maybe a biscuit or two. He does not need to draw up, all that is good to eat sitting on a blanket.
While preparing meals, pretending to start the process. Ask them wherewould argue, have their picnic today. You can specify the forest, park or anywhere you can imagine.
Once the meal is ready, set it aside and let your children help at the scene. Spread a blanket on the floor and uses them to imagine the landscape. For example, you could claim a stool beside the ceiling space and tell them that a tree is. Ask them what we need in the woods? You will be surprised how creative you can get.
Nowget a chair for each of you and place. Sitting on the chair, and you can go for a picnic, or claim, the chairs are bicycles and pedal to fake your way. (Great exercise, too) Or it could be a boat and row your way there.
Now you want to invite people or animals or super hero to your picnic. Tell them to go to their Toybox and invite friends to his picnic.
When you take their imaginary friends to the picnic, please ask them to put theirFriend to you and tell you a bit 'on his friend. You can get some wild stories about.
Now, on the ceiling, sit back and enjoy your picnic meal, pretending to watch the scene.
Once finished eating, all the bags, tell your children to take their friends back home (on the toy box). Go back on your bikes, rowing boat or car and go home.
Teddy Bear Picnic has always been a favorite day of the week for my children. E 'was great fun for me toohear all the stories that you would come to play with our creative time. Each week a new adventure. My children are taught how to plan events, and negotiate turns where the adventures take place for all the fun of creative play.
